What is fitness?
With the good foundation that we’ve built with your nutrition plan, we can incorporate physical activity. It is important to create a balanced lifestyle and Victoria believes that whatever your goal, you can achieve it in a heathy and balanced way.
Victoria wants to debunk the myths that pervade the modern fitness world that if you’re a bodybuilder you have to ‘bulk’ - or overeat - to an unhealthy weight to gain muscle. Or if you’re a bikini competitor, you can only achieve success if you restrict - under eat - in an unhealthy way. Sometimes, less is more!
Victoria is able to create balance for her clients and create a tailored programme that is sustainable long-term rather than the unsustainable short-term ‘fad diets’ that will see you regain any fat that you have previously worked hard to lose.
A (little) bit of science
The key to a balanced lifestyle is making sure we incorporate the two main response systems in your body. The sympathetic nervous system (SNS) responds to stressful situations and drives your ‘fight or flight’ responses. The parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) is your ‘rest and digest’ system. The main role of the PNS is to conserve energy to be used later and it helps lower your breathing rate and blood pressure, and promotes digestion.
To balance these two systems and ensure that the stress system doesn’t dominate, we will take a proactive approach to ensure that the PNS is always working for us. Victoria’s programme supports her clients to realign themselves and self-sooth stressful emotions. A balance is found by encouraging clients to undertake general day-to-day movement, cardio activities and resistance work, yoga, meditation and massage. Victoria takes a holistic approach to physical and mental health.
Most importantly, Victoria is enthusiastic to create this balance in a fun way, and a way that works for every individual client. Each of us is different and it’s important to move your body in a way that you enjoy. That way you’ll eat and move in a consistent way and get your desired results.
Victoria can provide you with fitness training at a location of your choice, or at PureGym in Borehamwood where she is a valued member of the fitness team and trains many of her clients.
Qualifications
Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Personal Training
Prices and Packages
Prices and packages are available to clients in the UK. Victoria can also travel across the world or work remotely (prices can be converted to local currency at the time of purchase - please contact Victoria to discuss packages and options for overseas travel).
